Quick Glove

The Quick Glove Dry Glove System is a user friendly and versatile squeeze-on system. Quick Glove can be used in many different combinations with different docking systems. However it is of great importance that you handle the system with precision when mounting it onto your drysuit as well as when you are donning and doffing the system.
 
In this Quick Glove FAQ section we have created a troubleshooting guide for issues that you might come across.
If you have got hold of an already used system, please download the user manual.

 

Question
Leakage occur during dive. What to do?

Troubleshooting
- Make sure that you have joined the rings (Quick Glove Ring and Docking Ring*) together correct and all around.
  If the rings are misaligned; disassemble and don again.
- Check for dirt and debris on all internal surfaces.
- Check the condition of the O-ring and that the O-ring is correctly mounted.
- Check for scratches in the O-ring groove.
- Check if the inner glove (liner) is stuck between the Quick Glove Ring and the Docking Ring*.
- Lubricate with hard wax (SI TECH item no. 61357). Don´t use soft lubricant! Don´t lubricate the O-ring,
  lubricate the surface that the O-ring will seal against.
- Make sure that you join the rings (Quick Glove Ring and Docking Ring*) little by little evenly around the system.
  Make sure the rings stay parallel when squeezing. (Don´t press one side first and then the other side - you may
  squeeze the O-ring out of its groove.)
- Check the system before dive. After donning the system; turn the Release Ring a quarter turn and back again.
  Check if you can see the O-ring. If you can´t see the O-ring; press the rings together and dive. If you can see
  the O-ring; doff the system, place the O-ring in its groove again and don.

* Docking Ring = Quick Clamp Docking Ring, Quick Cuff  Wrist and Stiff Ring Assembly or Heavy Duty Quick Cuff Rubber and Stiff Ring Assembly.

Question
The glove is not securely fastened in the oval Glove Ring and Spanner Ring assembly. What to do?

Troubleshooting
- Make sure that you have used correct Spanner Ring. (Blue Spanner Ring for thin gloves, black Spanner Ring for 
  thick gloves.)
- Look for creases or damages on the glove.

Question
The glove and Glove Ring are not securely attached to the Docking Ring* (comes loose to easy). What to do?

Troubleshooting
- Use a hard wax for lubrication. Don´t use soft lubricant on the Quick Glove Dry Glove System! Clean the O-ring 
  and thesurface and use the wax (SI TECH item no. 61357). Don´t lubricate the O-ring, lubricate the surface that  
  the O-ring will seal against. 

* Docking Ring = Quick Clamp Docking Ring, Quick Cuff  Wrist and Stiff Ring Assembly or Heavy Duty Quick Cuff Rubber and Stiff Ring Assembly.

Question
The Release Ring can not be turned. What to do?

Troubleshooting
- It is threaded wrong. Unscrew and try again.

Question 
The system is hard to don. What to do?

Troubleshooting
- Take out the O-ring of its groove, separate the plastic rings, clean and assemble. Lubricate with hard wax
  (SI TECH item no. 61357). Don´t lubricate the O-ring, lubricate the surface that the O-ring will seal against.

Question 
It is impossible to close the system. What to do?

Troubleshooting
- The wrist seal and the Spanner Ring have been pressed too far inside the Quick Clamp Docking Ring*. Use a thicker Spanner Ring (for thinner fabrics).
